The Design POP Contributor
Configura is a leading software developer in the commercial interiors, kitchen and bath and material handling industries. We simplify the design, sales and order process of complex and configurable products for customers all around the world.
Configura is a globally operating company with headquarters in Linköping, Sweden and operations in Gothenburg, Sweden; Grand Rapids, MI, USA; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Shenzhen, China and Berlin, Germany. Configura started in a small summer house in Sweden in 1990 and more than three decades later, Configura has grown into a multimillion-dollar company, delivering our software solutions to designers in over 100 countries, including some of the biggest manufacturers in the industry.
One pillar of our success at Configura is our vibrant CET Community. Over 100 partners contribute to our software, CET, and we have users all over the world that use Configura software to design spaces. We foster the community by offering a wide range of learning opportunities that engage those who use, develop and invest in the software, including in-depth trainings, webinars, bi-annual Partner Meetings, and an annual conference called CET Experience which offers an opportunity for the CET community to learn, innovate and collaborate within the software. We love highlighting our talented users by sharing work they created in CET at our annual awards or by recognizing extraordinary users as “User of the Month” within the community.
Today, thousands of designers and sales representatives rely on our software to design spaces, enhance creativity and improve efficiency. Our software CET Commercial Interiors brings designers, salespeople and dealerships together into one software to design, specify and visualize products for commercial spaces. It is a complete solution that quickly and accurately handles every step of the sales and order process.
In CET Commercial Interiors, components that represent manufacturers’ products look and behave like actual products. Users drag and drop components into 2D and 3D virtual environments; behind the scenes, the software tracks components, calculates pricing and prevents user errors. Users can create and generate layouts, quotes, photorealistic renderings, movies, installation drawings, reconfigurations and bills of materials – in other words, everything needed to propose on work and place orders.
