Designers are being brought into projects earlier and are expected to think more strategically, communicate more clearly, and contribute beyond the drawing. Most training has not kept up.

POP into Excellence was built to close that gap.

This is not a traditional conference. It is designed to fit into the reality of a designer’s schedule, with 1–2 virtual sessions per day so participants can learn, stay engaged in their work, and apply ideas in real time. The focus is straightforward; to help designers become more effective in the role they are already being asked to play which means stronger self-awareness, better collaboration, and more confidence working with both clients and internal teams. It about staying current on the tools shaping the industry, with sessions that reflect the wide range of technologies designers use today.
The response has grown quickly, from over 700 participants in 2024 to more than 1,400 in 2025. We hope to grow even more in 2026! Â
POP into Excellence is built around a few clear priorities:
- Affordability Ensuring that designers can invest in continuous growth, with company support or as an individual.
- Accessibility With busy schedules in mind, we offer 1-2 sessions per day instead of a full-day format, allowing designers to participate and still keep up with work.
- Comprehensive Development Dedicating content to personal and professional growth, equipping designers with new skills and perspectives.
- Expanded Technology Insight Sessions that go beyond core platforms and reflect the full range of tools used across the industry.
